Overview

Eliot practises in commercial and public law. He has particular expertise in class actions, corporate and commercial disputes, trade practices, financial services and securities litigation. He also accepts briefs in employment and human rights matters, professional negligence and conduct proceedings, and administrative law.

Prior to joining the bar, Eliot practised as a solicitor in Sydney, Melbourne and London, specialising in class actions and financial services litigation. He also served as tipstaff to justices of the New South Wales Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, and as a ministerial adviser to the Commonwealth Government.

Eliot holds a Master of Laws with Distinction from University College London and a First Class Honours degree in Law from the University of Sydney.
