Overview

Rob has broad practice, spanning intellectual property, general commercial litigation (including class actions), tax and administrative law. He has appeared in the Federal Court and High Court, and Courts and Tribunals in NSW and WA. Rob has appeared both led and unled.

Rob has particular experience in intellectual property law, and has appeared in a number of leading intellectual property law cases.

Rob has been recognised in Chambers and Partners – Asia Pacific and Doyles Guide for his expertise in intellectual property law, and Best Lawyers in Australia for his expertise in both litigation and intellectual property law.

Before coming to the Bar, Rob worked as a solicitor at Allens in the Intellectual Property and Banking and Finance teams, and was an associate to Hon Justice Cowdroy AO on the Federal Court of Australia. Rob completed a BCL at the University of Oxford, graduating with a distinction average, and he was awarded the Law Faculty Prize for International Intellectual Property. Prior to this, Rob completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours and received the Minter Ellison Prize for Intellectual Property.
